Zeke Cohen is the Executive Director of The Intersection. Zeke has been a life-long social justice advocate. After college Zeke taught middle school social studies as a Teach For America corps member in Baltimore and took a group of eighth grade students to New Orleans to help rebuild a home. At The Intersection, Zeke’s students have built a community garden, registered 118 voters and helped to pass the MD Dream Act.
As a teacher Zeke was awarded the Elizabeth Lawrence Prize for Excellence. Zeke’s work has been featured in The Baltimore Sun, WYPR, Fox-45 and various other media sources. Recently, Zeke was named one of Maryland’s “Top 20 Leaders In Their Twenties” and was awarded the “We Are The Dream Award,” by the Baltimore City Council.
